01:08after a few days of moon sighting of different Muslim communities in the country.

01:12This is also a sign of the beginning of the new lunar month of Shawwal

01:18Earlier this morning, prayers were held in different places.

01:21In Quirino, Gran Sanga, more than 10,000 people attended.

01:25In UP Diliman, prayers were held led by the Institute of Islamic Studies of the University of the Philippines.

01:32People also went to the Quezon City Memorial Circle to pray.

01:38The National Commission of Muslim Filipinos gave a reminder

01:41that Ramadan is not just about fasting.

01:44We were trained during Ramadan to do good deeds,

01:48to do extra prayers, to give charity, to do good deeds,

01:54to avoid bad deeds.

01:57We should remember that now that Ramadan is over,

02:01we should not forget the good deeds we did during Ramadan.

02:11Imam Sawadi also gave a reminder that Ramadan should be a way

02:15to strengthen their faith.
