00:00The target of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is to open more embassies of the Philippines

00:06in different parts of the world.

00:08This was said by President Marcos in front of the members of the Diplomatic Corps

00:12in Bandinur, Malacanang.

00:14This is part of the independent foreign policy of the country

00:17along with the expansion and strengthening of the Philippines in the world.

00:22Last year, four embassies were opened in Europe and Latin America.

00:27This year, four more foreign service posts will be opened in North America, Asia, and the Pacific.

00:35According to 2025, it is expected that there will be a total of 102 embassies and consulates in the Philippines.

00:42It aims to introduce the Philippines to the whole world

00:45and it is sure that it will be a fruitful, concrete, and profitable partnership

00:52that will push the 21st century economy of the Philippines.

00:56In addition to the President, the diplomatic agenda of the Philippines has been successful

01:01in strengthening ties with its allies and new partners in the field of economy and security.

01:08This resulted in an active exchange of official visits and cooperation in various sectors.
