00:50Yeah.
00:51Well, I think it'll happen.
00:52And I'm just thinking, I didn't give it much thought before, but I'm sitting with a man
00:57that could be very instrumental.
00:59You know, Mark, we need that for international security, not just security, international.
01:04We have a lot of our favorite players, you know, cruising around the coast and we have
01:09to be careful.
01:11And we'll be talking to you.
01:13It's a very appropriate, really a very appropriate question.

01:16An issue in the High North, so the Arctic, so what you did.
01:18So when it comes to Greenland, yes, we're not joining the U.S.
01:21I would leave that outside for me, this discussion, because I don't want to direct NATO in that.
01:26But when it comes to the High North and the Arctic, you are totally right.
01:30The Chinese are now using these routes.
01:32We know that the Russians are rearming.
01:34We know we have a lack of icebreakers.
01:37So the fact that the seven outside Russia, seven Arctic countries working together on
01:42this under U.S. leadership is very important to make sure that that region, that that part
01:47of the world stays safe.
01:48And we know things are changing there and we have to be there.
01:56I'm sitting with a man that could be very instrumental.

02:45A lot of Americans wonder why does Greenland matter so much?
02:48Why does the mission of this base matter so much to the American people?
02:52And I learned a lot about that today myself.
02:54Of course, you can read about it in a book, but I saw it up close and personal.
02:57And if God forbid to my fellow Americans, if a missile was fired from an enemy country
03:03or an enemy submarine into the United States, it is the people here before us who would
03:08give notice to our brave men and women further south in the United States to let people know
03:13what was coming and God willing to try to shoot it down and prepare for it.
03:18That's one of the things that we do at installations like this.
03:22We know that Russia and China and other nations are taking an extraordinary interest in Arctic
03:28passageways and Arctic naval routes and indeed in the minerals of the Arctic territories.
03:34We need to ensure that America is leading in the Arctic because we know that if America
03:39doesn't, other nations will fill the gap where we fall behind.
03:43So what you guys do is so critically important.
03:47I think a lot of Americans, certainly I, didn't realize it fully until President Trump started
03:52talking about the importance of our Arctic mission, about building upon it and ensuring
03:57that America can lead in the Arctic for the next generation.
