Tensions explode as the U.S. and NATO edge toward a major showdown over Greenland. President Donald Trump issues stark tariff threats against nations opposing his controversial Greenland takeover plan, triggering fears of an economic and strategic war within the Western alliance. As allies push back and global markets watch closely, the Greenland dispute risks reshaping U.S.–NATO relations and escalating into a full-blown geopolitical crisis.
00:00Greenland, too. I may put a tariff on countries if they don't go along with Greenland,
00:03because we need Greenland for national security. So I may do that. I'll give you a little...
00:06I'll talk about... I'll take you out of that. In fact, that'll end up being the story.
00:10But actually, this is a much bigger story, because we're reducing health care by numbers that you haven't seen.
00:15Tariff King, and the Tariff King has done a great job.
00:17And I hope we win the Supreme Court case, because if we don't...
00:19Through country after country, Susie was responsible for getting every one of those leaders on the...
00:26saying, Susie... By the way, stand up, Susie. She is doing such a good job.
00:32She's the first...
00:34She's the first female chief of staff.
00:40And she might be the best chief of staff, too. But she's doing a great job. Thank you, Susie.
00:44So Susie...
00:46Susie got them on. And I just went one after another.
00:51I called Germany. No, no, no. We will not do that.
00:54I said, no, we're going to put a 25% tariff, which is, by the way, about seven times more
01:01than they would have to pay by raising their drug. Like seven times.
01:06This wasn't like a little bit more. Seven times more.
01:10And I may do that for Greenland, too.
01:12I may put a tariff on countries if they don't go along with Greenland, because we need Greenland for national security.
01:16So I may do that. I'll give you a little...
01:18I'll talk about... I'll take you out of that. In fact, that'll end up being the story.
01:21But actually, this is a much bigger story, because we're reducing health care by numbers that you haven't seen.
01:26So I spoke to the top 10 countries.
01:29They all said no. And within about two minutes, they all agreed.
01:33And we were off to the races.
01:34And now we have favored nations.
01:38It's called most favored nations.
01:40So if France is paying, let's say, $20 or $30 instead of $10, we are going to pay that $20 or $30.
01:49We pay the lowest price, whatever the lowest price is.
01:54So if France is paying $100, but Germany is paying $20, we pay what Germany pays.
02:00So we go from a horrible situation on drugs, prescription drugs, to the lowest price anywhere in the world.
02:09Is that a correct statement, Oz?
02:10Because they're going to blame you.
02:11If you want to correct me, you can.
02:13But, you know, you won't be here for long if you do.
02:17You're correct, Mr. President.
02:18Oz has left employment.
02:21No, but is that a correct statement?
02:22That's absolutely a correct statement.
02:24And that's what we want to codify in the great health care plan.
02:27Yeah, that's why it's so important.
02:29Because if the president's not here, there's a flight risk with these companies not obliging us anymore.
02:36Because I think it's the strength of your personality, but also they know they'll follow through with the threats if we don't act.
02:41So we believe other countries will change their opinions, and so will drug companies.
02:45So we've got to get it into legislation.
02:47Well, if you have the wrong president, the countries have tremendous influence over us.
02:51You know, they look, why are, why did we go to an income tax system instead of a tariff system?
02:57And we had the wealthiest nation.
02:59If you go back to the 1800s, 1887, we had money, so much money, we didn't know what to do with it.
03:08But the countries at that time, same, no different.
03:11They have a tremendous influence over this country.
03:13For whatever reason, I don't know, but they do.
03:16So if you have the wrong president, they'll change the system in two minutes.
03:19I mean, they'll change it.
03:20And the drug companies are very powerful, too.
03:22You have to deal with them.
03:23In this case, it was both.
03:24I mean, you had a problem with the drug companies, but you had a tougher problem, in theory, other than the fact that I understood how to deal with them.
03:31And I'm the tariff king, and the tariff king has done a great job.
03:35And I hope we win the Supreme Court case, because if we don't, it'd be a shame for our country.
03:41It'd be a shame.
03:42We have a great, safe, beautiful country now.
03:45We're doing better than we've ever done.
03:47We hit 42 stock market highs during the 11-month period that I've been here.
03:51It's never, there's never been anything like it.
03:53Stock market's hitting a new high again today.
03:55So it's, you know, it's been incredible.
03:57So just to end it on this, because.
