00:01The Implementing Rules and Regulations of the VAT Refund Act has been passed.

00:06For non-resident tourists, in his interview on Radyo Pilipinas,

00:11DOT Secretary Maria Cristina Frasco gave the important role of the law in strengthening the economy.

00:19According to the World Tourism Organization,

00:23shopping is one of the main reasons for tourists to visit a particular country.

00:30In addition, it also provides a way for the country to be globally competitive,

00:36especially for its fellow countries in ASEAN.

00:40The same law has also been passed.

00:43In short, the law will surely help local industries and small businessmen.

00:50In terms of our local industries, this law is very important

00:56because it will provide added benefits to our tourism destinations

01:01in terms of the shopping of our local goods.

01:06It will also help our local small and medium enterprises, our creative industries,
