00:00Thank you, Mr. Vice President.
00:05And I just wanted to take a minute and thank you all, to the airmen and women, to the guardians
00:11who are keeping us safe day in and day out.
00:15You are continuing a tradition, a tradition of the U.S. military's presence in Greenland
00:20since World War II, the 1951 Defense Treaty.
00:25And President Trump is absolutely serious with the Vice President and with his team
00:30about the Arctic and the security that the Arctic brings and that you bring to the Western
00:37Hemisphere.
00:38This is about shipping lanes.
00:39This is about energy.
00:41This is about fisheries.
00:45And of course, it's about your mission, which is keeping us safe and monitoring space, monitoring
00:51our adversaries, and making sure the American people can sleep safely in their homes day
00:59in and day out.
01:00So thank you for roughing it.
01:02Thank you for being without your families.
01:05I bet every one of you are going to pick somewhere in, I don't know, Florida or the Bahamas or
01:09something for your next duty station, I would think.
01:13But this is also, I mean, what an incredible adventure.
01:17I have yet to meet a veteran.
01:19My wife is a veteran.
01:21I am as well.
01:22And of course, the Vice President, I have yet to meet a veteran that says, wow, I regret
01:27my time in service.
01:29Instead, they cherish it the rest of their lives.
01:32So appreciate this moment and this adventure that it is.
01:37And the American people, thank you.
01:40President Trump thanks you.
01:41And I know the Vice President and the Second Lady thanks you as well.
01:47And it's just really an honor to be with you again.
01:49Thanks so much.
