DOGE head Elon Musk and seven team members aim to cut 15% of federal spending by targeting waste and fraud, according to Fox News. The group discussed auditing federal programs from Social Security to the IRS, and Musk called the department's goals “quite achievable.”  DOGE claims $130 billion in savings, over $800 per taxpayer. The agency has drawn criticism over its sweeping authority, but Musk defended the mission, saying cuts are measured and legal.
