00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World, my name's Theo Heusenbeth and today's video is all about Mother's Day
00:05And some of the amazing things that you can do right here in the city to celebrate your mum and all the time that she
00:10Dedicated towards making sure that you're pretty okay
00:13We're gonna start today's video from one of my favorite little cafes in Manchester and a little tease as well for our coffee series
00:19That should be coming sometime next week, which is 200 degrees
00:22Now the reason I love this place is firstly obviously the coffee is great. The atmosphere is great
00:27Also, it's a barista school and it's the perfect place to start a little lovely afternoon that you can spend with your mum
00:33So right now I've got a little brownie in front of me
00:35I'm waiting on a coffee and then we can let the day properly begin
00:38So to me 200 degrees is the perfect first stop on this little Mother's Day tour. It's based right near St. Peter's Square
00:44It's right near Piccadilly Garden
00:46So you can move across the whole city and as you've already seen they have an amazing range of sweet treats and awesome
00:51Sandwiches as well in the fridges and the coffee you really can't go wrong if they're going to be teaching other baristas
00:56How to do it. You've got to set a high standard
00:59So it's my belief that a day like Mother's Day should always be built around food and drink
01:03They're basically a little stop offs that you can do and you're on your way around the shops
01:06And so from 200 degrees gonna head straight to my mum's favorite place in Manchester actually and as a vegan
01:12It's somewhere that she adores and as a non-vegan. It's somewhere that I genuinely really love as well
01:18So I'm seated in wholesome junkies now
01:19I've ordered my food looking forward to it coming massively and the reason I love this place is because it does vegan food like
01:25Purely vegan food. It makes it accessible to everyone. You know, I'm not vegan myself
01:29I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything when I'm eating here
01:32It's genuinely one of the better places to eat in Manchester
01:35Um, but we'll wait for this food to come and then we'll show you that now
01:38I did not pull any punches when it came to ordering. I was immediately attracted to the mushroom chicken wings
01:43I love mushroom anyway, and I just love chicken wings
01:46So I had to give it a try and then this is the truffle burger as well
01:49I figured may as well go for it got a little side of chips as well
01:52And honestly, the burger was phenomenal. But these wings were the highlight of the meal
01:57They were really really crispy really well seasoned a little bit of buffalo sauce to dip them in as well
02:01But the burger was exceptional in its own right really fresh salad on there the burger patty. It was really prominent
02:08You could really taste it. It wasn't something that just
02:11Wilted away into nothing is really really good quality and really really enjoyable to eat as well. So first of all, wow
02:18I'm incredibly full and genuinely feel very satiated after a meal like that
02:23Which sometimes for non vegans can be the best compliment to give to a vegan based restaurant is that I haven't walked out of there
02:28Thinking I've just had to suffer through a meal
02:31I loved the burger and the mushroom chicken wings were a genuine delight as well
02:36So stuff all now and the great thing about this little two-stop tour that we've given you today
02:41Is that the rest of the day is completely yours. We've got some great free things to do in Manchester
02:46the John Rylands library
02:48Manchester art gallery are both awesome and free great ways to spend the day or you could equally just go shopping around the northern quarter
02:54Whatever it is. Make sure your mum feels loved make sure she feels valued and follow Manchester world for more
