01:28Even if Steely Dan keeps that receipt, he ain't getting a refund.
01:40Number 9, Easy Revenge, Chainsaw Man.
01:51The loss of a beautiful woman leaves the whole world poorer, or so Denji believes.
01:57Katana Man killed his friend Himeno, so after beating him into submission as Chainsaw Man
02:03and tying him up, he's eager to take revenge for his late, gorgeous friend.
02:08You know, the one that puked in his mouth?
02:10However, his colleague-slash-roommate Aki arrives and emphasises that they're arresting
02:16Katana Man, not killing him.
02:18Denji suggests a contest, seeing which of them can make the asshole scream the loudest
02:24from getting kicked between the legs.
02:26Aki scoffs at first, but a message on Himeno's cigarette makes him reconsider.
02:41Himeno receives quite the unorthodox requiem, but we can't say we disapprove.
02:55Number 8, Mahito Becomes the Prey, Jujutsu Kaisen.
03:06Cursed spirits in general are bad news, but Mahito has wreaked havoc on Yuji's life.
03:13He's killed a few of his friends, maimed more, and transformed hundreds of civilians
03:18into nightmarish monstrosities.
03:21And he did it all with childlike glee.
03:24That's why it's so rewarding to see Yuji deliver a savage beating to Mahito at last.
03:37Exhausted and backed into a corner, Mahito has no more tricks up his sleeve.
03:42As Yuji promises to relentlessly pursue him, even if Mahito is reborn, the cursed spirit
03:48is left with wordless terror.
03:51He imagines himself as a rabbit, pursued by a wolf with scars like Yuji's, finally
03:56feeling the kind of fear he inspired in others.
04:10Number 7, Rimuru Wipes Out Thelma's Army.
04:13That time I got reincarnated as a slime.
04:23As the eponymous reborn slime, Rimuru Tempest is pretty easygoing.
04:28That is, unless his people are threatened.
04:30After the Kingdom of Thelma kills his friends and decides to invade his burgeoning nation
04:35of monsters, Rimuru stages a counterattack.
04:38Sure, his main goal is obtaining enough power to become a demon lord so he can resurrect
04:44his fallen friends, but the fact that the transformation requires slaughtering the enemy
04:49army certainly doesn't hurt.
04:51Rimuru begins by basically turning water droplets into lasers to perfectly snipe thousands of
04:58Thelma soldiers.
05:06As if that wasn't overwhelming enough, he follows it up by mercilessly sucking out their
05:11souls.
05:12Thelma thought they were poking a bear, but they got a slime instead.
05:22Number 6, Levi Goes Beast Mode – Attack on Titan.
05:35During the Battle of Shiganshina District, it is easy to despise the Beast Titan.
05:40The big, bearded bastard decimates the survey corps by tossing boulders at them.
05:46Even Irwin and the company's final charge appears all for naught, but then Levi pops
05:51out of nowhere, having used Zeke's own titans as a bridge to strike at him during the confusion
05:57and smoke.
06:04After watching the scouts, veteran commander and fresh recruits get massacred, Levi takes
06:10the Beast Titan apart piece by piece in a moment of absolute triumph.
06:15Zeke may not die here, but it's glorious to see him realise that he's bitten off
06:20more than he can chew with Levi.
06:31Number 5, Robin Breaks Spandam – One Piece.
06:43Spandam is the most despicable of villains, incompetent, cowardly and arrogant.
06:49The masked slimeball also spends an inordinate amount of time abusing Nico Robin while she's
06:55restrained and unable to use her powers.
06:58When she's finally freed, her payback is immensely enjoyable.
07:10With nothing holding her back, Robin immediately beats the stuffing out of Spandam, turning
07:15his already ugly mug even uglier.
07:18But when the cockroach persists and continues hounding the straw hats as they try to get
07:23away, Robin goes one step further.
07:26Coming across a gap in the ocean, she uses her devil fruit powers to snap his spine like
07:31a twig.
07:32Frankly, it's amazing that Spandam survives, probably because he's spineless.
07:45Number 4, Justice for Naofumi – The Rising of the Shield Hero.
07:57To say Naofumi has had a bad time since he was summoned to another world would be a huge
08:02understatement.
08:04Immediately ostracised and falsely accused of assaulting the Melromat Kingdom's Princess
08:09Malty, Naofumi has to work his way up from nothing.
08:13At last, Malty and her father's efforts to frame Naofumi come to light in a public
08:19trial.
08:30As satisfying as it is to see them get shocked whenever they try to lie, what comes next
08:35is even better.
08:36Although initially the duo are sentenced to execution, Naofumi comes up with a better
08:42idea.
08:44Naofumi decides to give them new names.
08:45Death is quick, but having everyone know you as Bitch and Trash lasts forever.
08:59Number 3, Gon Gives Everything – Hunter x Hunter.
09:12Nen is an interesting power system.
09:15By making vows, Nen users can become stronger, the more restrictive the promise.
09:20So when Gon is desperate to achieve revenge on Nefapito for the death of his friend and
09:25mentor Kite, and he gives all his Nen to achieve it, the results are spectacular and terrifying.
09:32Gon becomes an adult in an instant and possesses a near unrivaled amount of power.
09:37He uses that newly gained strength to knock Pito around like a raggedy cat doll.
09:49Gon nearly loses himself in his pursuit of revenge, but we're losing our heads at how
09:55awesome this moment is.
09:56So is Pito, in a more literal way.
10:08Number 2, Mustang BBQ's Envy – Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood.
10:18The death of Mays Hughes hangs over this series, and indeed Roy Mustang.
10:23However, he finally gets answers when he confronts the homunculus Envy.
10:28The shapeshifter readily confesses to the murder to Hughes' best friend, who can light
10:33things on fire with a literal snap of his fingers.
10:37That has to be in the Hall of Fame of dumb moves.
10:40Mustang proceeds to incinerate Envy over and over as fast as he can and in as cruel a manner
10:47as he can muster.
10:55While the changeling manages to evade him for a while, Envy is eventually roasted so
10:59much that he's reduced to a whimpering, minuscule shell of his former self.
11:04It's a symphony of fiery, snappy vengeance, and we're here for it.
11:31Number 1, Shikamaru Buries Hidan – Naruto Shippuden.
11:40Getting over the death of a mentor is tough, but getting revenge helps.
11:45After the immortal Hidan's curse leads to his sensei Asuma's death, Shikamaru puts
11:50his formidable intellect towards obtaining retribution.
11:54He lures Hidan to a prearranged spot in his family's land, covers him in explosives,
11:59and ties him up above a pit.
12:01Shikamaru even uses Asuma's lighter to send Hidan on his explosive way to his grave.
12:14Hidan might not be able to die, but he'll remain buried alive forever.
12:19The clever execution and deviously karmic punishments help make this some sweet revenge
12:25indeed.
