00:00Is there a way for Roman Anthony and Marcella Meyer

00:04to be up with the big club outside of injury

00:07to somebody in front of them?

00:10Yeah, I mean, if someone stinks,

00:13I mean, if Abreu stinks, if Abreu isn't good,

00:17then, and he really, really struggles,

00:20kind of like he did last year at the beginning of the year,

00:22and they're like, hey, you know what?

00:23You know, you need more time in the minors or whatever it is,

00:26and Roman Anthony is tearing it up,

00:29then sure, I think for Marcella Meyer,

00:32it's more of, it just comes down to,

00:34is Trevor Story or Bregman healthy?

00:38Those are the two spots that he can play.

00:39If they are healthy and they are producing,

00:41or not even if they're producing,

00:43if they're healthy, then he's going to stay

00:45in the minor leagues for now.

00:46It's still, guys, it is still baffling to me.

00:49I love spring training.

00:50You know, I love the chicken wings.

00:51I love the beach.

00:53I love it all.

00:54And so, but of all my time in spring training,

00:57one of the most baffling things was that day,

00:59Marcella Meyer, I think I talked to you guys the day after,

01:02Marcella Meyer playing second base.

01:04I mean, we did the podcast with Breslow.

01:07I sat down with him and I said,

01:09okay, you got to answer this for me.

01:11And he goes on about how you're in the right

01:13to be in the competition and blah, blah, blah.

01:14And I said, but it was a day.

01:16It was a day.

01:18And he didn't really have a response to it.

01:20It was weird.

01:21And yet, because that sort of him being in the competition

01:25came and went within a day.

01:27But he was, I think by far,

01:29the best guy of those three guys in spring training.

01:32Well, yeah, and so speaking of that,

01:33I get your point on, you know,

01:35if William O'Brier really struggles,

01:36maybe that's where Roman Anthony comes up.

01:38I didn't never consider Marcella Meyer

01:40playing second base either.

01:42And so, what if Christian Campbell

01:44gets off to a really slow start?

01:46And obviously he is hopefully the future of that position

01:49and you don't want to run away from him too soon.

01:51But if it's a long, prolonged slump to start the year

01:55and Marcella Meyer is killing it at Worcester,

01:57even though he's doing it at shortstop,

01:59would there be any kind of thought of having him come up

02:02and take Campbell's spot?

02:04I think they would be very hesitant to do it.

02:06They could do it, obviously,

02:08but you have to go through a lot of other checklists, right?

02:11You have to go through David Hamilton.

02:13You have to go through Von Grissom,

02:14who's going to be playing second base in Worcester.

02:16And if neither one of those guys are impressing...
