00:18we saw some candidates who fought for the Fair Elections Act.
00:24In the news team's tour this morning in Barangay Basra and Project 6,
00:29we saw some campaign materials that were not included in the designated areas.
00:35The designated area for Barangay Basra is Basra Mini Park
00:41located at Visayas Avenue, corner of Forestry Road,
00:45where we also saw some campaign materials.
00:51We also noticed that some candidates running for the local positions
00:56are located in Barangay Hall of Barangay Basra.
01:00The designated area for Barangay Project 6 is located in the corner of Road 1 and Mindanao Avenue
01:08where we saw some candidates running for the local and national positions.

01:22under COMELEC Resolution 11086,
01:26which is the Implementing Rules and Regulations for the Fair Elections Act and 2025 elections.
01:31It states that printed materials should not exceed 8.5 x 14 inches
01:39such as pamphlets and leaflets,
01:41and 2 x 3 feet for campaign posters,
01:44and 3 x 8 feet for streamers.
01:49The Quezon City Government also has an ordinance
01:54that election materials should only be distributed in designated areas.
01:59Election materials should not be placed in power stations,
02:04public places, and utilities such as street signs,
02:12traffic lights, signal posts, bridges, and overpasses.
02:16It also prohibits the placement of streamers, tarpaulins, tin plates,
02:21stickers, pamphlets, decals, printed notices, signboards, billboards,
02:25and other advertising paraphernalia in unauthorized places.
02:29Every barangay in Quezon City has designated poster areas
02:37where election materials can be placed.
02:42The ordinance also prohibits the systematic placement of election materials
02:49to prevent the spread of the virus and to ensure proper use of public spaces.
