00:00Reflecting the fact that the world has changed so much with the importance of
00:06spending more on defence but also all of the uncertainty in the world does mean
00:11that globally growth forecasts for this year have been revised down but actually
00:15for each subsequent year right up until the end of the decade growth forecasts
00:19have been revised upwards because of the investment we're putting in for example
00:23for new housing. I'm not in favour of national service but there are vacancies
00:27in our armed forces and we need to recruit more people and I think that
00:31people can see in the changed world in which we're in today the opportunities
00:36for good jobs in our armed forces but also in the defence sector that produces
00:42the tanks, the machinery, the ships that our armed forces use.
00:47Well I've got to tell you Sabrina Carpenter I mean she's great but I am a 46 year
00:52old woman so I think it probably will come no surprise that it was another
00:56family member of mine who was more of the Sabrina Carpenter fan and in the job
01:00that I'm doing now it is harder to do some of those normal everyday things now
01:05don't get me wrong this job is a privilege of my life but I do now have
01:08security and just doing things like you know going to a pop concert which I'd
01:12love to be able to do with my my kids I just can't do that in the way that I
01:17could before so I did take tickets to be in a box and I felt that was the right
01:21thing to do for you know the security needs that I've got now I know that for
01:26some people that will look weird I totally get that I do want to carry on
01:31doing the things that normal parents do with their kids and that gave me the
01:35opportunity to do that I did enjoy the song so please please please
