00:00This collaboration comes from a happy intuition of Professor Pinto, who, in a dramatic moment such as the COVID period,
00:12came to me in this empty institution at that time to propose an ambitious project.
00:19This project concerned a collaboration between the world of art and a reality such as the Paschal Hospital,
00:27which, for many years, has been a reference point, not only in the region, but at the national level,
00:33on a project that interested us a lot, that is, a regeneration of spaces, but also a regeneration of the feeling
00:40that could involve my colleagues and our students in a shared project.
00:46So it was a path that we also made complex, because behind each project of this type
00:52there is also an administrative type of machine that must be organized and managed,
00:57but above all there is the need to meet and respect the sensitivities of the people who are involved in these places.
01:05Places that have their own human density, places where there are stories, there are relationships,
01:13there are daily meetings, within which we had the need to enter, how to say,
01:19at the forefront, being gradually recognized both by the operators, but obviously also by the patients
01:25and by the families of the patients as not strange presences.
01:28Perhaps this is one of the major successes of this project, that is, to have experienced a common work,
01:35because every part of this project has been shared with everyone, with those who were not only the recipients,
01:43but they were co-designers, those who were the operators, also they involved in the design device,
01:51and obviously with teachers and students of the Academy.
01:54So this, from the formative point of view, but also not only didactic,
01:58but also from the point of view of the formation of consciousness, is a great result.
02:02And then there is a dimension, also of a projectual and prejudice character,
02:07that does not only evolve from an advanced capacity of design, but also from a study, I would like to highlight,
02:14because in this type of project, the analysis of the materials, of the methodologies of intervention,
02:19therefore the more technical aspects, which are fundamental in places like these,
02:24constitute, in my opinion, an element of excellence compared to the result achieved.
