Taiwan Baby Dies From Enterovirus Infection in Yilan

A newborn baby boy has died from enterovirus — know commonly as hand, foot and mouth — in northeast Taiwan. The death is Taiwan’s second from the virus this year. Researchers at National Taiwan University warn most pregnant women lack antibodies against the virus, putting newborns at higher risk.
