She tried to force a relationship with the monk, but he was hesitant due to his status, and left after making a verbal promise to stop by on his way back.
However, he never returned.
Angry that the monk had run away, the woman transformed into a poisonous snake.
She pursued the monk.
The monk fled to Dojoji Temple.
At Dojoji Temple, she burned the monk to death as he hid in the bell.
After destroying the monk, she returned to her original form and drowned herself.
