00:00That is what authoritarianism is all about.

00:06One of the dangers of Trumpism is we begin to accept this thing as normal.

00:12You have a president of the United States who now tells us that the New York Times,

00:16the Washington Post, all of the newspapers, all of the networks are lying.

00:20There's an article in the New York Times hypothetically saying that his companies are making money

00:24as a result of his policies.

00:25Don't believe that!

00:27That's the New York Times.

00:28We know that they lie all the time.

00:30So what you do is you destroy people's confidence in all of the institutions.

00:36And then who is the only person that we can have confidence in?

00:40Oh my God, it's not the media.

00:42It's not the judiciary, is it?

00:44It's not elected officials in the Congress.

00:46No, no.

00:47It's one person who, thank God, is sitting there strong and proud and protecting us.

00:53And that is Donald Trump.

00:54That is what authoritarianism is all about.
