History of the now demolished Trump Plaza Casino

Trump's legacy in Atlantic City ends with a bang as this boardwalk landmark is demolished.  This is the rise and fall of the Trump Plaza Casino.

00:20We all in here will remember this forever where we were together here at One Atlantic

00:32One year, one day to get this building down just shows what hard work does to get that

00:37eyesore down.

00:38It's the end of an error, the beginning of something new.

01:00You can say the Taj Mahal, you can say Trump Plaza.

01:02I mean, so many of the jobs I do at the time I'm doing them are supposed to be not good

01:07and they turn out to be tremendous.

01:23We got out of Atlantic City about five years ago.

01:26We sold our timing was good.

01:28Atlantic City is having some tough times right now, but our timing was very good and essentially

01:32I'm not too much in the gaming.

01:35Sad.

01:38I'm sad.

01:39I had 26 years here and it's like family.

01:42So I'm sad.

01:43Yeah.

01:44So many of us are out of work.

01:45You know, like where does eight, where does 8,000 people go and think we're going to get

01:48hired?

01:49We would never thought this would come to this, you know, and I just feel bad for the

01:52people, man.

01:53So many people out of work.

02:12This is not about Donald Trump.

02:14This is not about president Trump, because quite frankly, the people here in the great

02:18city of Atlantic City, we knew how the presidency was going to play out on a national stage.

02:23Because we're one of the cities that know him best.
