Turning the wifi off at night, unpluging our phone chargers... Here are a few tips to reduce our electricity consumption.   Episode 5 of our series of stories on eco-citizen initiatives with French author Julien Vidal.

00:00Here are 10 tips to save several hundred euros per year and per home.

00:16We turn off these devices in advance with on-off multi-sockets.

00:19We cut the Wi-Fi before going to work or at night before going to bed.

00:25We defrost the freezer as soon as there is more than 3 mm of ice.

00:32We can also clean the back grill of our fridge every 3 months.

00:39We run the dishwasher in a short program.

00:44We can lower the heating to 17°C in the bedrooms and 19°C in the living rooms.

00:50We unplug these phone chargers when we don't need them anymore.

00:54We replace old bulbs with cheaper LEDs.

00:58We wash our clothes in cold water in the washing machine.

01:03And we replace our dry clothes with a Carville tank to let the clothes dry in the open air.
