President Trump condemned white nationalism today in the wake of the mass shooting in El Paso — but his consistent messaging on immigration as an “invasion” was echoed in the gunman’s manifesto.

00:07These sinister ideologies must be defeated.

00:30I'll do whatever is necessary to stop an invasion of our country.

00:43They have guns, but they don't like using guns because it's not painful enough.

00:48They want to slice people up.

00:50Young girls walking home from school, 16 years old, and they slice them up.

00:56I was badly criticized for using the word invasion.

01:02And it's also an invasion of drugs coming in from Mexico, okay?

01:07We're on track for a million illegal aliens trying to rush our borders.

01:47We have a country that's being invaded by criminals and by drugs, and we're going to

01:54Nowhere in this world is there anything like what's happening with immigration, how bad

02:02The Democrats' open border policies deplete our public services, overcrowd our schools

02:09and hospitals, and bring crime, drugs, and deadly gangs into our community.

02:16More than one million immigrants will arrive at the borders this year, many of them lodging

02:22frivolous asylum claims.

02:24They would strip Americans of their constitutional rights while flooding the country with illegal

02:31immigrants in the hopes it will expand their political base.

02:36One of the things we're considering, obviously, is a national emergency, and it is.

02:40It's an invasion of our country of not only people, not only gangs and criminals and human

02:44traffickers, it's an invasion of drugs into our country.

02:48How do you stop these people?

02:51You can't.

02:53That's only in the panhandle you can get away with that stuff.
