00:00Germany just made a bold move in support of Ukraine, and it's worth billions.
00:04The Bundestag's Budget Committee has approved an extra €3 billion in military aid to Ukraine for 2025.
00:11That's on top of the €4 billion already planned.
00:14And it doesn't stop there.
00:15Another €8.3 billion will follow between 2026 and 2029.
00:21Why now?
00:22This funding had been stalled for months due to political clashes that even collapsed the ruling coalition.
00:28But with the upper house finally giving the green light, the aid is back on track.
00:32So what's in the package?
00:34Ukraine will receive cutting-edge IRIS-T air defense systems, guided missiles, drones, surveillance radars, combat vehicles, and light weapons.
00:43Some of it, like the IRIS-T, is still being built and will arrive over the next two years.
00:48This isn't just about weapons.
00:50It's a message.
00:51One lawmaker called it a strong signal of peace and security for Europe.
00:56With the U.S. pulling back and Trump cozying up to Putin, Germany is stepping up, making it clear they won't let Ukraine stand alone.
