00:00There are many tools on the AccuWeather app to help you to make the best decisions that
00:04are on weather-related items.
00:06One of those tools is the interactive maps that we have, and we'll delve into that on
00:10the free AccuWeather app today.
00:11I'll start over in Redding, California, but of course you can select any location around
00:16the country and around the world to look at your local forecast information.
00:20If you tap down on Radar and Maps down on the bottom tab, that will bring up the latest
00:26local radar.
00:27That's how it zooms into your area, and you're looking at the current view, but you can also
00:32scroll back with the scroll bar here on the bottom.
00:35You could scroll backwards to see what's happened over the last couple of hours, or scroll forward,
00:40and that allows you to see the next two hours and how the weather can evolve.
00:43Rain in the red, blue indicating the areas of snow, and of course you can, this is a
00:48fully interactive map, so you can actually just zoom back and pan around the country
00:53wherever you want in order to look at what's going on from coast to coast.
00:56There are many other maps available as well.
00:58If you click on the top, you can look at the clouds that are occurring, and another tap
01:03on Temperature, and you can look at temperatures across the country and your local area, and
01:07again, the temperatures will show up on the map as you pan and zoom, and you can see all
01:11the colors behind it as well, helping you get a sense of the different air masses that
01:16are around.
01:17Finally, tap on All Maps, and you're able to look at all of the different maps that
01:21are available on the AccuWeather app, including all the government watches and warnings that
01:26are available across the country.
01:28You can find an area that has one in effect, tap on it, and pull up more information to
01:32see that that's a red flag warning, and here's all the details.
01:35So these are just some of the few helpful map layers that are available on the AccuWeather
01:40app.
