‘I’ll have a little something’: how do you celebrate Easter?

We’re asking people around Cardiff if Easter is important to them, and whether they’ll be buying the kids, or even themselves a few eggs this year.

00:00Buy a couple of Easter eggs, and I've already eaten one.

00:03Yeah, no, it's not a big thing for me.

00:05Just, you know, buy the children Easter eggs and maybe have a drink.

00:09Not really, no.

00:11Somebody give me an egg once, or a few eggs over the years, but, yeah, no.

00:16No, it's just, er, what I call another pagan festival.

00:21It's just all for money, like Christmas, it's all been invented,

00:24it's just a bit more out of us, you know.

00:28You're not going to buy yourself an Easter egg this year, then?

00:30No, no. Yeah, we do Easter eggs,

00:33and we'll normally get the family round on Easter Sunday.

00:36That's about it, really, and it's half-turned,

00:38so we try and get away and marry to a teacher, so, er...

00:40Yeah, I don't go too mad, cos, I mean, children get enough.

00:43My children are older, and some people go a bit overboard,

00:47but I don't, and they appreciate what they get,

00:49even if it's just a couple of eggs.

00:51Yeah. I'll have a little something.

00:53I'll have a little lint, you know, a lint bunny or something like that.

00:57Try and make it last.
