00:00It's hard dating millions of people at the same time, I'll tell you that much.
00:04Hey, my name's Nicholas Alexander Chavez, and today I'm going to let Elle ask me anything.
00:11Here we go.
00:12Which Monsters co-star gave you the best acting advice?
00:17Javier told me that you really never stop being a student of the craft,
00:21and so every day is just a learning experience.
00:24What is your go-to belt-in-the-car song?
00:27It's not Blame it on the Rain.
00:30Can I pull out the Spotify and see what I've been singing lately?
00:34I Ran So Far Away by A Flock of Seagulls is a great song.
00:38That's going to be the one that I'm going to lock in with.
00:41Oh, and Ain't No Love in Oklahoma.
00:43The Luke Combs song from the Twister soundtrack, that's a banger.
00:46It's so good.
00:47I don't often listen to country music, but when I find a country song that I really like,
00:51I sink my teeth in.
00:53What was the best part of working with Victoria on Grotesquerie?
00:56The best part was actually that I got to be a PA for the day.
00:59There are all these smoke machines, and Victoria has asthma,
01:04and they hadn't prepared for that, so I found the biggest umbrella that I possibly could,
01:08and I was trying to block the smoke for her in between takes.
01:12But no, it was actually really cute, and she's so freaking talented.
01:15It makes you feel so good to watch someone who you love and care about
01:19do the thing that they love and that they're passionate about.
01:22I don't know, I was just really happy that I got to be on set with her and her sister for that.
01:26What surprised you the most about working with Travis Kelsey?
01:29He brought all of that teammate camaraderie stuff that I had imagined that he has,
01:35from being a professional football player to being on the set,
01:38which those are such nice transferable skills,
01:41and he just jumped from one thing into the next so seamlessly,
01:45I think because he knows what it's like to work in teams.
01:48Actually, I don't watch a ton of football.
01:50I'm more of an in-game anything person.
01:53I have to be at the game kind of guy, you know what I mean?
01:55It's more about the atmosphere.
01:57I like to get the pretzel and the drink and the hot dog and do the works and sing the songs,
02:02like take me out to the ballgame.
02:04I love singing take me out to the ballgame.
02:06When was the last time you were starstruck?
02:08I just went to this event at LACMA,
02:11and I saw Steven Spielberg speak from across the room,
02:14and I felt like I was looking at God.
02:16I was like, that's literally Steven Spielberg.
02:21Spielberg, okay.
02:22What is the most frequently asked question in your DMs?
02:26I don't check that place.
02:27That place is a no.
02:29Never? Did you just stop checking?
02:31Five minutes ago.
02:33Most frequently asked question?
02:35I don't know. I don't know.
02:36I get it all.
02:37I truly get it all.
02:38If you could cameo on any other TV show, what would it be?
02:43I wish they were still making Succession
02:45because I would totally cameo on that show in two seconds.
02:48I love that show.
02:49It's like exactly the kind of like blend of drama
02:52and dark humor that I feel like is really enticing to me.
02:56So yeah, I'm going to go with Succession if it was still on.
02:59What is your skincare routine?
03:01Oh God, I'm so boring with this.
03:03Like I literally just use lotion after I get out.
03:06I just put lotion on my face. That's it.
03:08There's like no fancy anything.
03:10And that's not even all the time.
03:12Sometimes I'm just bad and let my skin dry out
03:15and I'll age very rapidly.
03:18Who is your first celebrity crush?
03:21Oh, my first celebrity crush.
03:23Oh, wait, Zoey from Zoey 101.
03:26Definitely.
03:27Like that's a classic I feel like, no?
03:30What is your dream role, past or present?
03:33I have a few of these.
03:34One of them is to play Nureyev,
03:36who's like this ballet dancer who defected from the USSR
03:40during the Cold War that I'm totally obsessed with.
03:42Another is I grew up loving the Batman Beyond series.
03:46So I think it'd be cool to bring that to life.
03:48How do I feel about the internet calling for me
03:50to play Patrick Bateman?
03:51Here's the thing.
03:52Like I didn't want to be too on the nose about it.
03:54But yeah, like, of course, like Luke is a genius for one.
03:58And two, I love the Bret Easton Ellis book.
04:01It's been one of my favorites for a very, very long time.
04:04What is one thing you took from the Monsters set?
04:07There's this vintage Versace jacket that Lyle wears.
04:11I asked, of course, and then they said yes.
04:14And I was like, yes!
04:15So yeah, I took the leather jacket.
04:18What was your initial reaction to seeing yourself bald?
04:22It was so concerning.
04:23Honestly, I was like, it made me realize
04:25that I never, ever, ever want to lose my hair.
04:27And now I have a lot more sympathy for bald people.
04:30It's like kind of cool.
04:31Like it's like the Hitman Agent 47 look.
04:35It's sick.
04:36I don't know.
04:37It made me definitely not want to lose my hair for sure.
04:40What is your funniest on-set mishap?
04:44I'll say the wrong word many, many times in a row.
04:47And it will take me like six or seven,
04:49like an embarrassing number of takes
04:51to actually say the line correctly.
04:52So sometimes this will happen to me.
04:54Though I will say I almost crashed Lyle's Alfa Romeo
04:58while filming Monsters.
04:59They were like, Nick, you should really be more careful.
05:02And I'm like, but I'm really in character right now.
05:05So I hope that you understand.
05:07What side of TikTok are you on?
05:09Whatever the side is that has the app deleted.
05:11I don't know.
05:12I don't use that app.
05:13That seems like just asking for brain rot.
05:16Do you have any feelings on being the Internet's
05:18newest boyfriend?
05:19It's hard dating millions of people at the same time.
05:22I'll tell you that much.
05:24Love Island UK or Love Island USA?
05:26This is obviously Love Island UK.
05:28The accents are so fun.
05:30I love the way that they compliment each other
05:32just because like we don't have like those,
05:34like no one would ever say that someone is proper fit
05:36and like on the USA show.
05:39So like to see that on the UK is like really funny to me.
05:43Who is your style icon?
05:45Khloe Seven Yee is probably a solid choice here.
05:48Like she has incredible style.
05:51My personal style did shift a little bit
05:54since working on the project.
05:55Like Lou Irick, who's the head of wardrobe for Monsters.
05:59She's such a creative visionary
06:02and has so many interesting ideas.
06:04And yeah, I found myself like buying
06:06slightly different things whenever I would go out to shop
06:09because I didn't realize that like these kinds of clothes,
06:11like spoke to me until I did the show.
06:14So it kind of changed it a little bit.
06:16What is the most romantic thing you've done for someone?
06:20Like the most romantic memory that I have recently
06:23was like I was sitting in Florence,
06:25like on the floor in Florence,
06:28like on the ground eating McDonald's at 3 a.m.
06:31looking at like the most beautiful church
06:33that I had ever seen.
06:34And that was pretty romantic.
06:36I liked that a lot.
06:37Who would have known the most romantic meal
06:39I've ever had was Mickey D's.
06:43Thanks so much for watching.
06:44Make sure you check out Monsters and Grotesquerie,
06:46which are both out on streaming now.
