00:00The four Korean nationals involved in online illegal gambling were caught red-handed.

00:05The suspects assumed that the bank was being held by voice phishing.

00:15The four South Korean nationals were caught red-handed in the operation of the National Bureau of Investigation in Pampanga.

00:22The suspects were involved in illegal online gambling.

00:25The suspects were also caught red-handed in their operation.

00:28They assumed that the bank was being held by voice phishing.

00:33This is where they deceive South Korean nationals who are in South Korea to get money from their bank account.

00:39According to the National Bureau of Investigation, the suspects were charged with up to US$840,000.

00:45These are the remnants of the operations.

00:49Some of them were resort to illegal online gambling because the facility and the technology are still there.

00:57And some of them would still have their employees, Filipino or other foreign nationals.

01:03The suspects were caught red-handed in the operation of the National Bureau of Investigation in Pampanga.

01:07Two of the suspects presented by the NBI were caught red-handed in their operation.

01:14This will show you the importance or the significance of international cooperation.

01:20As a matter of fact, we would not have known that there is a warrant in Korea posted as a red notice in the Interpol.

01:30Based on the data, they arrived in the Philippines in 2017.

01:34Their last trip to South Korea was in 2019.

01:37Labine explained that this is an indication that the suspects are returning to their country.

01:41The suspects were charged with illegal online gambling in relation to the Cybercrime Prevention Act.

01:46While one of the suspects was arrested, the other was charged with carnapping.

01:51The NBI will continue to investigate if there are other suspects involved in this operation.
