00:00NFC East, Lacey Guy, the Eagles, the reigning champs, of course, a minus 170 favorite.

00:05Now, the Commanders, a great football team a year ago, 11 wins,

00:09NFC Championship game appearance, and maybe even the Cowboys,

00:13as they get back to at least their standard of success in the regular season, should challenge.

00:18But there is also the long-standing trend around the NFC East.

00:22We have not seen a repeat champion in this division since 2004.

00:27That is two decades, 20 years of a trend now.

00:31Is it going to be bucked in 2025?

00:35I don't know. I mean, you know, here's the thing.

00:39The Eagles are the best team, right? Hands down.

00:43Do I want to believe that Jaden Daniels and that team in Washington now with Debo and, you know,

00:49Tunsell, you know, could elevate? Yes.

00:52But if I had a bet right here, right now, I would bet that the Eagles would be repeat.

00:57You know, champions for the first time since 04.

01:00I can't go against that defense.

01:02That defense is young.

01:04They're hungry.

01:05Vic Fangio was a huge asset to that team.

01:08And even though they're going to lose Kellen Moore to the New Orleans Saints,

01:13I love Jalen Urch.

01:14The kid's a winner.

01:15St. Juan Bar.

01:16I mean, the list goes on.

01:18I mean, Ben, I said this to Wetzel yesterday.

01:20You know, yes, Jaden Daniels has huge upside,

01:24but the Dallas Cowboys have no shot to compete.

01:26I'm sorry.

01:27I know that on paper they look good.

01:29This team is going to be gutless.

01:30There's no guarantee that that defense is going to be a stitch better than what they were last year.

01:36And in that regard, you know, it's Philly or bust for me.

01:39I'm still betting on Philadelphia, even though the trend is against them.

01:43This is the one team.

01:44I told you that's like the Kansas City Chiefs.

01:47If you give me a market for them to three-peat, I might take that opportunity.

01:52It is such a funny trend, right?

01:54Because we have seen very successful teams year over year in this division,

01:58and yet they just can't win it for a second consecutive.

02:02But you would think if anybody had the makeup of doing so,

02:05it would be the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.

02:08Each year has its own set of circumstances.

02:11Each year is different.

02:12Teams are different.

02:13Coaches are different.

02:14All of that.

02:15And yet, for whatever reason, in the NFC East,

02:18we have not seen that back-to-back winner for two decades.

02:21I'll just say this on the Cowboys.

02:23I wouldn't bet Lee's money on Dallas to do anything in the postseason,

02:27but with regular season success, it's what Dallas has done.

02:31You even look at the five-year sample size under Mike McCarthy.

02:34Bookends of that five-year window.

02:36His first in 2020, last year in 2024,

02:39Dak Prescott was not fully healthy to not play a full year.

02:43The Cowboys had double-digit losses.

02:45But three years in between, the Cowboys had exactly 12 regular season wins

02:50and did win the NFC East.

02:52Two of those three seasons.
