00:00Past President Abdul Hadi Awang has criticized DAP's call to limit the Prime Minister's tenure,

00:08saying the proposal goes against God's will. Hadi said leadership is a sacred trust from Allah,

00:14not a temporary position to be passed around for people to enjoy before being handed to

00:19another for personal gain. He said many who embraced DAP's idea had forgotten or chosen

00:25to ignore that Islamic principles must guide a nation's leadership to achieve success both

00:30in this world and in the afterlife. Hadi warned that the greatest deviation from the path

00:36established by the prophets is when Muslims allow themselves to be influenced by non-Muslims.

00:42He said the affairs of the Muslim community must be governed solely by those who profess

00:46their religion and meet the necessary qualifications. On Sunday, DAP Secretary-General

00:53Lok Siw Fook said his party wants the government to amend the federal constitution

00:57to include a two-term limit for the prime ministership.
