00:00The arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte did not go unnoticed.

00:04This is the reaction of some experts to the statement of the former President's legal counsel

00:08that he was forcibly arrested in the Philippines to be brought to The Hague, Netherlands.

00:13According to Attorney Mike Chu, head of the International Criminal Law Program of the University of the Philippines,

00:18Institute of International Legal Studies,

00:21the arrest and the method of arresting the former President is consensual.

00:27According to the Senior Lecturer of UP College of Law, Attorney Amando Ligutan,

00:32the method of arrest cannot be affected by the jurisdiction of the ICC in the case of Duterte,

00:38even if it is illegal.

00:40For the International Law Expert, Attorney Matthew Irasga,

00:44it is also consensual in the Philippines to take the case of the former President

00:48who was requested by his relatives and supporters.
