00:00Former Executive Secretary Salvador Midealdea has been formally appointed as the legal counsel of former President Rodrigo Duterte.
00:08Duterte is currently in front of the pre-trial chamber of the ICC this March 14.
00:14It will take place later tonight at 9 p.m. in the Philippines.
00:18In the initial appearance hearing, the judge of the ICC will look at the identity of the suspect
00:24and will find out the language used in the proceedings.
00:27He will also be handed the evidence and his rights under the ICC Rome Statute.
00:34It should be noted that the former President was arrested on charges of crimes against humanity
