00:00In athletics, Carlos Deimos broke the 15-year Philippine record in the 20-kilometer race walk
00:06after participating in the 2025 Asian Race Walk Championship in Nomi, Japan.
00:11That was after a 24-year-old athlete recorded the time of 1 hour, 30 minutes, and 0.03 seconds
00:18which is faster than what Michael Embuedo recorded in 2009 with 1 hour, 30 minutes, and 51 seconds.
00:26This was also the first international tournament Carlos participated in this year.
00:30Carlos will be remembered for his participation in the 10,000-meter walk of the 2024 Philippine Championships
00:36and the 3,000-meter walk of the 2023 Batang Pinoy and Philippine National Games.
