Ryan Lowe nearly missed Wigan Athletic interview due to wrong passport

Ryan Lowe nearly missed his Wigan Athletic interview due to picking up his sons passport instead of his own as he tried to return to England after watching Liverpool play PSG.

00:00So my agent booked me a train back and so I was flying into Manchester with my son

00:07and obviously got the call and said okay I can divert and go into London because that's where

00:11we met and I got to Gardie North and obviously my lad, if you've seen my lad on some of the pictures

00:18he obviously looks like me, he's my son obviously and it was early in the morning and I looked at

00:24the passport and I just took his and left his because he flew home with me mate then. I get to the

00:28station the guy's looking at me as if to say this isn't you and I'm thinking he's going to take the

00:33passport off me or give me it back to my son after jumping a taxi back to the hotel change the passport

00:38come back and then good enough to change the train for that hour later I got on it

00:43yeah so we actually we actually made it just in time to get a Starbucks yeah but no it was

00:49again I was pleased to get it done of course that you know once the call come there was

00:54no brainer it actually gave me a little bit of a you know a bit of light at the end of the tunnel

00:59just watch Liverpool win I thought this is a good home and this and then now I'm coming home to speak

01:02to him and it was yeah it was a real buzz but I got there in safe hands. I went to watch Liverpool

01:08didn't I against PSG and then the phone rang and he left me four days in Paris I think my mind was

01:14thinking what no it was a lovely phone call obviously you know I was there watching Liverpool

01:18and got the call with a diver from Manchester airport to a Eurostar to London and that's

01:24certainly what we did so no it was a it was a pleasure to get the call off Greg to come and

01:28speak to Greg and the ownership group and you know and then show me what they're about and then after

01:34the weekend me show what I'm about and what I believe in and what we can do and obviously led to

01:39you know them offering me the job and it was a no-brainer and there was obviously other

01:44opportunities out there but I felt that this was the perfect fit for me for Greg I think the

01:50relationship we've got and the ownership group and the football club are where we feel we can

01:54take it in the near future.
