New Wigan Athletic head coach Ryan Lowe believes that it's not rocket science what the team needs, it's goals.

00:00It's not rocket science what they need. I think defensively they've been very sound, conceding only 34 goals, which is very good.

00:06We've got a fantastic back line, squad and a fantastic goalkeeper who's been at the helm of that.

00:11At the top end of the pitch where I always want to outperform and outscore the opposition.

00:16But I've seen things with the group and with the players already by watching games back

00:20of a few weeks and being here early on the season and watching how they play and how they perform.

00:26It's just small tweaks and getting more bodies in the box.

00:28I'm a big believer if you want to score, you can score.

00:32So that'll be the main focus over the next week and the week after is to put that to fruition to the players,

00:39because we've got some fantastic talent and sometimes it just needs a little bit of brushing up.

00:44Hopefully I can get the right foot out and show them a little bit how it's done in certain areas.

00:49But now it'll be about scoring more goals.

00:52I think that's the key and obviously getting this place bouncing because there's been many times I've been here at this stadium

00:58and it's been the places.

01:00I said to Greg it's always got great music and when you score a goal and that.

01:03So I want more of that.

01:05We want it.

01:05We want to get as many points on the board as we can from now till the end of the season and then we'll start planning ahead for the following.

01:12But first and foremost is we need to be a little bit better at the top end of the pitch.
