00:24Abdul Karim Abdul Jalil, and Hanipah Fari Kula, although a source added that Abdul Karim is not
00:30keen to take up the offer. The second batch of judges who are expected to get their letters
00:35are Court of Appeal President Abang Iskandar Abang Hashim and Justice Nalini Padmanathan.
00:41However, the source said the position of Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat, the first woman appointed as
00:46the nation's top judge who took office in May 2019, remains unclear as she approaches retirement
00:52on June 30th this year. Meanwhile, Justice Harminder Singh Dhaliwal is set to retire on
00:58April 21st and Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak, Abdul Rahman Sebli, on July 25th. Both are already
01:05into their extended tenures. All other apex court judges, Justices Rozaria Bujang, Nordin Hassan,
01:12Abu Bakar Jais, Vazir Alam Maydin Mira, and Ahmad Tarirudin Saleh, will remain in office
