Perusahaan otomotif asal Vietnam, Vinfast, tertarik menanamkan modal di Indonesia. Perusahaan tersebut rencananya membangun pabrik kendaraan listrik di tanah air.

Menteri Investasi dan Hilirisasi/Kepala BKPM Rosan Roeslani mengatakan pembangunan pabrik manufaktur ini sebagai bagian dari ekspansi global VinFast.
