00:16for the former president earlier this morning. The case stems from allegations of crimes against
00:21humanity linked to the controversial war on drugs during his presidency, as well as the
00:27extrajudicial killings in Davao City during his tenure as mayor. The ICC Prosecutor General
00:32formally transmitted the arrest warrant notification for Duterte. The Philippine
00:37National Police or PNP carried out the arrest, ensuring the operation was documented with body
00:42cameras. Duterte is now in the custody of authorities, with Malacanang assuring that
00:47he and his group are being treated appropriately.
