No rules on types of tyres, only right sizes, says Puspakom

Puspakom has refuted claims that vehicle inspections require specific tyre brands or types to pass.  At a press conference at the Puspakom Wangsa Maju branch on Tuesday (March 11), chief executive officer Mahmood Razak Bahman clarified that no such regulation exists, and emphasised that under current guidelines, the only requirement is that tyres meet the correct size specifications. 00:35According to OPSPP25, the lorry must use a tyre of the same size as the one in the plant.

00:47But it can use a different tyre as long as the size is the same.

01:00There is a schedule that is provided by JPJ to ensure what options are available.
