Three batsmen hit fifties as Powergen beat Merry Boys by 46 runs last evening at the Queen's Park Oval.

The men from Penal made 217 for 7 from their 20 overs, with a top score of 62 from Dejourn Charles.

In reply, Merry Boys were restricted to 171 for 5, with 50 not out from Justin Manick.

00:14He went on to make 52 of just 24 deliveries. A lot of these youngsters

00:23got 51 of 35 balls. But it didn't end there as Dijon Charles top-scored for
00:29Powergen. Charles made a swashbuckling 62 of just 30 balls with six
00:37fours and four sixes. Justin Manick and Jason Agard picked up two
00:45wickets each but Powergen closed on a daunting 217 for 7. It was by no means
00:52an easy run chase for the Diego Martin lads with Jared Chin getting 22.
00:59Sion Charles was the pick of the bowlers for Powergen with three wickets.
01:03Giovanni Le Trent chipped in with an unbeaten 44 but in a losing cause.
01:10But Justin Manick was the top scorer with 50 not out getting there of the last ball
01:15as Maryboys were restricted to 171 for 5 and lost by 46 runs.
