00:00My name's Stuart Forrester, I'm the branch secretary at Strathclyde University, and as
00:20you see behind us, this is what we think of the university trying to take our pension
00:23off us.
00:24The university stands to make £97 million out of us, and we end up losing lots and lots
00:29of money.
00:30The people that's in the Strathclyde pension, some of them have been here like 30, 40 years,
00:34and they're going to lose tens of thousands of pounds because the university can get their
00:37hands on this money.
00:38And all they're offering at the biggest price is £6,000 compensation, but the university
00:42doesn't call it compensation.
00:43I've got nearly 150 people out today, I've got over and really up to 500 ship membership
00:49in the university, and we're going to stagger it.
00:51The university court sits on Wednesday, and hopefully they'll overturn this terrible thing
00:57that they're doing to our members here, and we can then go back to our normality and back
01:01to our work.
01:02If not, we're out for two weeks.
01:03We're very determined, but these people are actually behind us, they're losing money coming
01:06out.
01:07I can only pay them a certain amount, but people are actually losing a good £300 out
01:11of their wages.
01:12But at the end of the day, they know they'll lose a lot more if they lose their pension.
01:15When court sits on Wednesday, do the right thing, and give the people back their pension
01:19that they deserve.
