00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ordered the DPWH to implement the new Bicol River Basin Master Plan

00:08to address the long-standing problem of flooding in the Bicol Region.

00:12According to President Marcos, the water flow in the Bicol River needs to be adjusted

00:18to avoid widespread flooding, especially during the rainy season.

00:22The DPWH said that the update of the master plan has already been completed

00:27under the Philippine-Korea Project Facilitation Program,

00:32which includes the effects of climate change.

00:35Meanwhile, Camarinesur Representative L. Rey Villafuerte

00:40ordered to dredge the low-lying areas such as Libmanan, Cabousaw, and Navua-Bato-Baw Lake

00:50as a temporary solution while waiting for the full implementation of the master plan.
