Two huge Pride flags have adorned the inside of The Kings Theatre to celebrate Portsmouth Pride.

00:00Hey, I'm Gareth Gates. I'm here at the King's Theatre in Portsmouth. The importance of my

00:15gay fans to me is absolutely huge. All of my best friends, actually, are all gay. And

00:22the amount of support that I've got from the gay community over the 23 years I've been

00:28in the industry is absolutely huge. I owe a lot to them. The importance of the pride

00:34flag is of massive, massive importance. I think it's important we raise awareness whenever

00:42we can. And the pride flag just makes us all feel that we can be very, very open about

00:49it, talk about it more, spread awareness more. And so to have the photos with the pride flag

00:57today on that scale was incredible. Yeah, it was a glorious thing to see. I'm thrilled

01:05to be here at the King's Theatre. I've performed here lots over the years in various shows.

01:11But to bring my very own show here, Gareth Gates Sings Love Songs from the Movies, is

01:15a real thrill. It's a fantastic show, features all those big hits from movies, from films

01:22like Titanic, A Star is Born, Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman, to name a few. I even throw

01:27a few of my songs in there. And it's great to be back in this glorious theatre in this

01:32beautiful city. And yeah, I'll hopefully see you all very soon.
