00:11The woman, identified as Wang Wei, suffered a fractured leg and severe bruises after debris
00:16hit her when the flooring gave way at around 8 p.m. on Friday.
00:22It is understood that the victim and her husband were operating a restaurant on the ground
00:26floor of the Segama shop houses built in the mid-1970s.
00:31Kota Kinabalu District Police Chief ACP Kasim Muda said all 55 residents staying on the
00:38second and third floors were evacuated immediately as a safety measure.
00:43He said a temporary relief center was opened at the Kota Kinabalu Community Center for
00:48the victims.
00:50He urged residents not to return to their dwellings until authorities have assessed
00:54the building's safety.
00:56The authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the collapse.
