Mark Atkinson reports on Hearts 3-1 win at Tynecastle in the Scottish Cup.

00:00Hearts are in the Scottish Cup semi-finals yet again, their fifth date to Hamden in seven years

00:08after a 3-1 win over Dundee here at Tyne Castle in the quarter-finals.

00:13The hero was Norwegian midfielder Sander Kartum, a January signing from Brandbergen

00:18who scored a brace of really, really nice goals to see off Tony Docherty's spirited visitors.

00:25Kartum arrived with a reputation of a cultured left foot and a player that liked to get into goalscoring positions

00:31and he did that here on more than one occasion.

00:33His opening goal, a lovely left-footed finish high into the net to break the deadlock

00:38and his second move through the second half, a really beautiful finish with the outside of his foot

00:43to kill off Dundee and making it sure Hearts won by three goals to one.

00:47Dundee played their part in an absorbing encounter, they haven't won the Scottish Cup for 115 years

00:52and they were backed by a sizeable away support that made this a really gripping encounter under the lights

00:58but in the end Hearts were too strong, Dundee's defence yet again letting them down

01:02and the Jambos under their manager Neil Critchley getting the perfect antidote

01:05to the pain of losing the Edinburgh derby just five days ago.

01:08They can look forward to Monday's Scottish Cup semi-final draw, they're safely in the hat
