00:00Cadbury World isn't just about chocolate, it's about history, creativity and fun.
00:05Visitors can step into the Aztec jungle to learn about the origins of cocoa,
00:09then see how Cadbury became one of the UK's most famous brands.
00:14There's a real focus on interactive experiences.
00:16You can walk through a replica of the original Bourneville factory,
00:20explore Advertising Avenue with its classic TV adverts
00:24and even take a chocolatey ride on Cadbury Chocolate Quest.
00:28And for a modern twist, the 4D Chocolate Adventure
00:31takes visitors on a thrilling journey through a chocolate-filled world,
00:35making it an exciting attraction for all ages.
00:39Cadbury World is a unique attraction in Birmingham
00:42because that's where the business originated from.
00:45So in 1824, John Cadbury developed the Bull Street shop.
00:50The business in 1879 then moved out to Bourneville, which is where we are today.
00:55Cadbury World is number one in Birmingham.
00:57It's a major attraction across the whole of the UK because we're unique.
01:02So we're the only Cadbury attraction worldwide and we're unique in the UK as well.
01:09Beyond its engaging exhibits, Cadbury World is home to a dedicated team of chocolatiers
01:15who create everything from intricate chocolate sculptures to handmade treats.
01:19It's not just about watching, you can even have a go at tempering and chocolate doodling.
01:25The attraction has evolved massively over the years,
01:28with major additions like the 4D Chocolate Adventure
01:31and the recently launched Cadbury Chocolate Quest ride.
01:35The Cadbury World shop has also had a revamp,
01:38now offering the UK's biggest selection of Cadbury products under one roof.
01:42It's clear that after 35 years,
01:45Cadbury World is still finding new ways to keep visitors coming back for more.
01:50We're celebrating our 35th year and it's been an incredible journey
01:54because this really replaced the factory tours from the late 1960s.
01:59So we opened Cadbury World in August 1990,
02:02expected visitor numbers were 250,000 a year
02:06and in the first 12 months we did over 400,000.
02:09And we realised just how popular the brand was
02:12and how popular Cadbury World had become very quickly.
02:15So over the years we've listened to customer feedback,
02:19we've developed the attraction, we've evolved it.
02:22So when we first opened it was possibly very worthy and educational.
02:26We realised we needed to bring fun and entertainment to the business.
02:30We've got the ride, the Cadbury Chocolate Quest,
02:33which is where you go around with collectors,
02:35collect ingredients to make your own bar.
02:38So that's fun and entertaining, it's immersive again.
02:42So we've got a whole new experience.
02:44We're always listening to guest feedback, that is how we develop the attraction.
02:49So Cadbury World will continue to grow, it will continue to develop
02:54and it's massively important to tourism in the Birmingham region as well as the UK.
