00:00We decided to make this creation to celebrate the summer of sports and we wanted to celebrate
00:06the British athletes so we've made it in the form of a podium with gold, silver and bronze
00:12medals on. It's about 60 centimetres tall, weighs 30 kilograms of chocolate and it took
00:19us three days to make and it was four of us that made it.
00:23Creating such a detailed and intricate masterpiece was no easy feat. The chocolatiers faced various
00:28challenges along the way, with each element requiring precision and skill. Achieving
00:34the perfect balance and stability for the complex components was essential to ensure
00:38everything was crafted to perfection.
00:42Probably the most challenging thing, and you'd think it would be the simplest, was the javelin
00:47because it's so seamed and delicate it just kept breaking so we had to make that a few
00:50times.
00:52From start to finish the chocolate sculpture took three days to complete. The dedicated
00:56team of four chocolatiers, including Dawn, used specialised techniques to mould and shape
01:01the various elements. Each part was meticulously crafted to be as detailed and realistic as
01:07possible for the display.
01:10It took four of us, so myself, Donna, Terry and Andrew, three days to make it. Probably
01:18the most challenging thing is making the large blocks and waiting for them to set, so that's
01:22what takes the time really.
01:26The response to the sculpture has been overwhelmingly positive, with visitors and athletes alike
01:32admiring the attention to detail. The representation of various sports has also been appreciated.
01:39This exquisite creation will remain on display at Cadbury World throughout the summer for
01:44all to enjoy.
01:48So far people have really loved it. They like to see all the different sports that are all
01:52around so there's lots of detail to look at and it will be on display here at Cadbury
01:57World for the summer.
