00:00In the Senate Committee on Migrant Workers addressed concerns over Balikbayan boxes

00:05stuck in Philippine warehouses. Senator Rafi Tulfo pointed out instances of goods being

00:10damaged like chocolates that melted due to less than ideal storage conditions and issues

00:16with the consolidators failing to clear shipments. The Department of Migrant Workers or DMW is

00:21working to resolve the problem. Additionally, scams involving unprocessed shipments were noted.

00:27Meanwhile, the Bureau of Customs or BOC announced plans to donate forfeited items

00:32in collaboration with the DMW instead of allowing them to be discarded.
