The Narathiwat Court on Thursday (March 6) freed Malaysian dikir barat singer Wan Norshaheeda Azlin Wan Ismail, better known as Eda Ezrin, her husband, and four others from the charge of possessing 6,059 yaba pills.

00:00The Narathiwat Court has freed Malaysian Dikir Barat singer Wan Nor Shahida Azlin Wan Ismail,
00:08better known as Eda Ezrin, her husband, and four other Malaysians from the charge of being
00:13in possession of 6,059 Yaba pills.
00:17The court's two-judge panel made the decision after finding no evidence to connect the possession
00:23of the drug with all the accused.
00:26The six accused were previously sentenced to six months in jail and fined 4,000 Thai
00:31Baht after pleading guilty to another charge of consuming the Yaba pills.
00:37However, they were exempted from paying the fine after serving four months in jail and
00:42demonstrating good behavior throughout their detention at the Narathiwat prison.
00:47Their lawyer, Sufian Abdul Aziz, told reporters that his clients must remain in prison while
00:53waiting for the prosecution to file an appeal.
00:57If there is no appeal, they will be allowed to return to Malaysia.
01:01The six Malaysians, including the 30-year-old singer, were arrested in a raid at a hotel
01:07in Golok Town on November 1 last year for allegedly possessing more than 6,000 psychotropic
01:13pills.
