Jesy Nelson Reveals 'Complications' During Her Pregnancy With Twins

00:00Hey guys, so we just wanted to come on here and do a little video.

00:05As some of you may know, we are having twins, which is so exciting for us.

00:10And we just wanted to let you in on a bit of our journey of what we've been going through.

00:16So we are having identical twins, which is so exciting.

00:20We're just like, we actually can't believe it.

00:24But unfortunately, there are complications that come with having identical twins.

00:31The type of twins we are having are called monodia twins.

00:35And with that, so normally, most twins will have two placentas that they feed off of.

00:43But when you have monodia twins, that means your twins live off one placenta,

00:47which can lead to lots of complications.

00:50One of them being, one baby might take all the nutrients, the other might.

00:57Which will be really awful to say, but could lead to both babies dying.

01:05And at the moment, I am currently pre-stage TTTS, which is twin to twin transfusion.

01:15And I'm being monitored very closely.

01:20I have to go be scanned twice a week.

01:23The current situation that we're in at the moment is that I,

01:27every time I've gone, it's got a little bit worse.

01:31But we are just hoping and praying for the best, aren't we?

01:35We feel so like blessed that we've, I feel like I'm getting upset.

01:40We feel like really blessed that we've been given twins.

01:45But it's just really sad that unfortunately, it does come with its complications,

01:50which we had no idea about.

01:52We honestly had no clue that this kind of thing happens when you have twins.

01:56And we just really want to raise awareness about this

01:59because there's so many people that don't know about this.

02:03So we feel it's really important for us to share our journey with you guys

02:06and let us know, you know, what's happening.

02:10But yeah, like I said, we are just like hoping for the best.

02:14And we're really fortunate that I do, I am lucky enough to be scanned twice a week

02:20and I get to check on the, we get to check on the babies.

02:24But yeah, we just want to keep you guys updated.

02:28And we'll be, yeah, letting you know as from now,

02:33every time we go for a scan and we just got to pray that everything is going to be good.

02:38But it will, it will be good.

02:40But yeah, I think the most important thing for us is just like raising awareness about this.
