WA political parties playing to their strengths as election campaign enters final days

With the WA election just days away, both major parties playing to their strengths today. The WA Liberals hoping to sway voters with the party's commitment to health reform, while WA Labor is spruiking its strong economic track record.

00:37But the party's costings remain a hot topic due to be handed down tomorrow.

00:42We will be providing costings in the usual manner similar to how Labor presented theirs from opposition.

00:50They still haven't told us, as I said, unprecedented to be leaving it this late.

00:55Meanwhile, Labor's election promises would cost taxpayers $3.4 billion, lifting net debt to $41 billion.

01:03Labor keen to point out net debt is still lower than originally forecast.

01:07We've been able to cut debt even after eight years of record infrastructure spend.

01:13The Premier also squeezed in a visit to Albany, his third since December.

01:18As I've always said, I'm worried about every seat and I'm taking the opportunity in the last few weeks of this campaign

01:24to move in and around the seats of Perth and regional WA.

01:28Despite being the frontrunner for Saturday's poll, WA Labor not taking anything for granted.
