Calvary Lenah Valley Hospital prepares to absorb Hobart Private Hospital births in wake of maternity ward closure

Calvary Health say it’s Lenah Valley Hospital can step into the void created by the upcoming closure of maternity services at the Hobart Private Hospital. Calvary says by increasing staffing levels, and reconfiguring wards, it can host close to a thousand births a year, double its current number.
