US President Donald Trump emphasizes the urgency of securing a ceasefire in the Russia-Ukraine war, stating that his administration has engaged in direct talks with both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

00:00It's time to end this bloodletting and restore peace, and I think we're going to do it.

00:05We've had some great conversations, including with Russia.

00:10And I've spoken with both President Putin and President Zelensky.

00:15And again, a lot of good things toward peace are happening, moving, I think, pretty quickly.

00:23Our focus is on achieving a ceasefire as soon as possible, and ultimately a permanent peace.

00:30My meeting with President Macron today was another important step forward in that sphere,

00:37because he's been very much involved right from the beginning in trying to get it over

00:40with, and we're going to get it done.

00:42I believe that Emmanuel agrees with me on many of the most important issues.

00:46Chief among them is this is the right time, it may be the only time, you know.
