00:00Paddle Philippines founder and President, Senator Pia Cayetano,
00:04pleased to host the Manila Open of the 2025 Asia-Pacific Paddle Tour, or APPT,
00:11just last week in Mandaluyong City.
00:14This is what teammate Daryl Oclares reported.
00:19The first hosting of the Philippines of the Asia-Pacific Paddle Tour, or APPT 2025,
00:26was held at Play Paddle Club Philippines in Mandaluyong from February 21 to 23.
00:32The Paddle Philippines was the first to organize a prestigious competition
00:37under the founder and president, Senator Pia Cayetano.
00:41In his visit last week to the so-called Paddle Tournament,
00:45Cayetano held a press conference
00:48where he gave his opinion on the country's proper hosting.
00:52But the senator admitted that it was not easy
00:55for the Paddle Philippines.
00:57It's like, to be honest, my team can do it.
01:01I'm not involved in this, but I know they can do it with their eyes closed.
01:04It still hurts in the head, but you know what to do.
01:06And so that's how I feel.
01:07And I think, because no less than the APPT guys were saying that
01:13it's the best that they've experienced.
01:15I think I have to kudos to the team.
01:18According to Cayetano, the hosting of the APPT
01:22is a great opportunity for the Philippines to really be in the loop of sports hosting.
01:33Because that's where the world goes, wellness, sports, tourism.
01:39So yeah, I'm so happy that Paddle Philippines, along with Play Paddle,
01:43are partners in hosting this event here.
01:46After Manila Open in Batangas,
01:49the next destination of the Asia-Pacific Paddle Tour
01:52and it was held from February 28 to March 2 at Palm Beach Paddle Club.
